Pip Edwards accused of photoshopping Byron Bay hotel bikini photo

[ad_1]

A photo showing Pip Edwards enjoying a getaway at a fancy resort in Byron has left fans baffled.

The P.E. Nation fashion designer and on-off girlfriend of former cricketer Michael Clarke could be seen happily jumping around in a hot pink bikini, in what appears to be a hotel bedroom.

The snap was shared on a luxury accommodation Instagram page which tagged the 41-year-old.

But fans were left confused by the snap, claiming it had been photoshopped.

“This is the strangest pic,” one person wrote.

The image showed Pip to be surrounded by three large bean bags with her hands in the air at a trendy hotel.

However Pip denied claims the image had been altered, telling news.com.au: “This post with Byron Bay Beach abodes was during my stay in December 2018.

“I have not been photoshopped in. It is an old photo.”

“I had the most magical stay – the vibe, energy and decor and flow of The Cabin is beyond epic. The perfect location for a dream holiday!” Pip was quoted as saying in the post.

“The perfect location for a dream holiday! The bedrooms and bathrooms are what dreams are made of.

“The open plan on to the deck and pool area are key for chilling out but also awesome to have friends over and entertain.”

However, it still left many to question the photo’s authenticity.

“Are my eyes playing tricks or does this look odd,” one person asked.

“Seriously? It’s like you’re photoshopped!” said another.

The photo which was shared recently has since been deleted as of Wednesday morning.

In a statement to The Daily Telegraph, Byron Beach abodes, who shared the snap, confirmed Pip “most definitely stayed at The Cabin”.

“She was our very first guest once it opened. She booked and paid full rates. I am grateful for her support as a return guest at several of our properties,” Taliah Lowry, creative director of Byron Beach Abodes said.

“She posted many photos of her stay at the time and I personally greeted her on her arrival. “The image is not photoshopped.”

Earlier this year, the Bondi socialite was forced to publicly apologise over a “tone deaf” Australia Day post.

She was accused of virtue signalling after she said Australia Day should not be celebrated out of respect for First Nations people before attending a backyard celebration with friends, where the Aboriginal flag was flown upside down.

Moments later, she issued an apology on Instagram, to those she had offended.

“My intentions were always from a good place, in support of all people, wanting unity and community in this country and globally,” she said at the time.

“I innocently did not realise that the Aboriginal flag was upside down and was more focused on the idea of raising both flags together on the one pole, flying as one.”

She went on to described it as a “huge mistake” claiming she did not realise it at the time and didn’t mean to cause disrespect.

Meanwhile, rumours have since sparked that Pip and retired cricketer Michael Clarke have reconciled, after they enjoyed a one-on-one meal together in Sydney in late March, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The duo began dating back in 2019, for six months after Clark ended his marriage to his wife of seven years Kyly Clarke (nee Boldy).
