Geelong Cats star Gary Rohan is pushing forward from the pain of his break-up from wife Amie, selling the former Sydney apartment they lived in after going public with his new relationship.
Realestate.com.au reports Rohan has sold his former Coogee home before its scheduled auction for $1.4 million.
The 165sq/m apartment, with a courtyard complete with a firepit, sold within nine days of its listing with a $1.25 million McGrath Estate Agents guide.
Rohan had bought the apartment, set in St Jude, a 2008-built block of five, for $1,015,000 in 2014, when it had been listed with $950,000 hopes.
The two-bedroom apartment had became a $900 a week rental when Rohan and Amie left for Geelong in late 2018 with their daughter Bella.
The couple then bought a $750,000 four-bedroom, two-bathroom 2013-built house at the Victorian coastal town, Ocean Grove in early 2019.
They had daughter Sadie Rose in March last year, but have since announced their separation, after he started a relationship with a physiotherapist at the football club.
Rohan, 29, shared an image to Instagram on Saturday in which he was cosying up to his daughters and a mystery woman.
The picture was one of many taken during first birthday celebrations for Sadie Rose.
While he didn’t identify his apparent new belle on Instagram, The Herald Sun reports Rohan is dating Madi Bennett, a physiotherapist who once worked for the Cats.
The Geelong speedster parted ways with wife Amie Rohan last year — who posted a gorgeous photo of herself and her daughters this week.
Rohan and the popular Instagram influencer are reported to have separated when he was forced to leave Victoria with his teammates in July when the NSW border was about to shut.
The split occurred just a few months after the couple celebrated the birth of Sadie Rose in March 2020.
A year later, Amie opened up about the breakdown of the couple’s marriage and the devastating loss of their daughter, Willow Nevaeh, in 2018.
She shared the shattering journey of her first pregnancy with twins — Bella Ray and Willow — including the discovery just 11 weeks in that Willow would not survive childbirth.
The twins were born on April 12, 2018, but Willow — who suffered from a fatal neural tube defect with no cure known as anencephaly — passed away after five hours.
“Gary was my rock at the time (we lost Willow) and the support network got us through,” she said in March.
It was rumoured that Rohan’s new relationship led to friction between Rohan and teammate Tom Hawkins.
Rohan has not yet spoken publicly about his alleged new relationship.
