A young motorcyclist has died in hospital after he and his passenger were airborne for about 10m before crashing the vehicle in Adelaide.
The 20-year-old Burnside man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with his pillion passenger with serious injuries after the accident.
Sadly, the driver succumbed to his injuries on Monday afternoon.
His 21-year-old passenger from Clearview remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
The man’s death brings the state’s road toll to seven, compared with five at the same time last year.
Police and emergency service crews were called to the scene at Guilford Avenue in Prospect just before 1,30am on Sunday.
Adarsh Surshkumar saw the incident and said the vehicle was airborne for more than 10m.
He believed the men did not see the dip and crash landed.
Mr Surshkumar said other local residents — including one who was an off-duty paramedic — tried to help the two men before ambulance crews arrived.
“I was trying to communicate with them … but they were just heavy breathing,” he said.
Major crash are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
