Tennis star Yulia Putintseva has raged all week about enduring 14 days in quarantine, venting her angst on social media as she protested against the lack of exposure to fresh air on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old was vocal in her criticism as 72 players were forced into two weeks of lockdown after positive COVID-19 virus cases were detected on several flights carrying competitors into Melbourne for the Australian Open.

Over the weekend she spotted a mouse in her hotel room.
She claims it happened again on Wednesday morning, claiming there is more than one mouse bunking in with her inside her accomodation in Melbourne.
She says she was moved from her room while staying at the five-star Pullman Hotel in Albert Park, Melbourne. The mice followed her to her new room, or were waiting for her when she arrived.
In an extensive Twitter rant, which included another video of a mouse she says is inside her room, she even claims she was unable to get moved to a new room overnight because the facility is fully booked.
The nightmare all played out on Twitter.
“Cool now the reception told me the hotel is full and that they cant help. It’s a joke,” she wrote on Twitter.
“im not in the 5 star hotel, (you) are kidding, im in the room with mouses and spiders.”
Putintseva used her disgusting new video to fire back at her haters, after she was slammed for declaring two weeks of hotel confinement makes it impossible for her to play the Australian Open with a preparation of just one week before the first grand slam of 2021.
She took particular aim at Aussie great Rennae Stubbs, who took to Twitter to tell the Kazakh player she has nothing to complain about after being guaranteed a minimum of $100,000 for surviving the 14-day quarantine and competing in the Open singles draw.
“And what do you say now,” she wrote in a tweet that linked to Stubbs’ Twitter handle.
“I should not complain and just go to sleep?”
“What are you even talking about? One week is enough to prepare for the grand slam when you spend 14 days in your room playing with the wall? Well For doubles probably yes, but for singles doesnt work that way.”
Putintseva earlier on Tuesday said she’s unhappy she can’t even open a window, posting a photo to social media of her holding up a sign with the message: “We need fresh air to breathe.”
Putintseva added the hashtags “#freshairisimportant” and “#atleast10minutesaday” to her post.
On the weekend, Putintseva was one of many who lashed out.
“What I don’t understand is that, why no one ever told us, if one person on board is positive the whole plane needs to be isolated. I would think twice before coming here,” she tweeted.
“They said, you have to only if you or one of your team members is positive! Not a random person on the plane.”
After her latest discover, it is time to at least hear some of the players out.
