Victoria’s Police Minister Lisa Neville admitted to hospital

Victorian Police Minister Lisa Neville has been admitted to hospital midway through the state’s latest COVID-19 scare.

Ms Neville released a statement saying the condition was unrelated to coronavirus and that her health complications were related to a previously diagnosed medical condition.

“Late last night I was admitted to hospital as a result of complications associated with a previously diagnosed medical condition,” Ms Neville, said in the statement.

“I have been living with, and managing this condition for some time, but the complications that have now arisen are serious and require a period of time in hospital for treatment and subsequent respite and recovery.

“This condition is not COVID-19 related.”

Ms Neville said she expects to be back at work on February 22 after receiving treatment and medical advice.

Health Minister Martin Foley will pick up responsibility for the Police and Emergency Services, which includes overlooking Victoria’s coronavirus hotel quarantine arrangements, in Ms Neville’s absence.

Four new locations have been added to Victoria’s Tier 1 exposure sites following further investigation by the state’s public health team, the Victorian Health Department states.

It updated its list on Sunday morning to reveal a supermarket, a bakery and two public swimming centres have been added to the state’s growing list. Anyone who has visited the below sites during these times must immediately isolate, get a COVID-19 test and remain isolated for 14 days.

FOUR NEW LOCATIONS

– Elite Swimming, Pascoe Vale on Monday, February 8, 5pm – 6pm

– Woolworths Broadmeadows Central, Broadmeadows, Tuesday, February 9, 12.15pm – 12:30pm

– Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses, Broadmeadows, Wednesday, February 9, 12:30pm – 12:45pm

– Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre, Pascoe Vale, Wednesday, February 9, 4pm – 7:30pm
