A driver has “thankfully” walked away uninjured after his car crashed into a home in western Sydney.
Just before 9am on Friday, paramedics were called to the house on Lakewood Drive, Woodcroft, after reports a car had smashed into it.
Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended and were told a Mazda Tribute had struck a Toyota Prado, before it smashed into the front of the home.
The Mazda driver, a 35-year-old woman, and the occupants of the Prado, a 37-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl, were assessed by paramedics at the scene but were not injured.
The crash caused extensive damage to the front entrance of the home with the three occupants also uninjured.
NSW Ambulance Chief Inspector Brian Parsell said the incident highlighted how dangerous cars can be if “something goes wrong”.
“It’s lucky no one was in that area of the house when the car smashed through the front door,” he said.
“Thankfully the occupant of the vehicle walked away uninjured.
“This had the potential to be disastrous, we really need to take care behind the wheel of any motor vehicle.”
A NSW Police spokeswoman said no charges were expected to be laid over the incident.
