It took only seven seconds overnight for Hull Kingston Rovers centre Ben Crooks to stun the Super League world with what was the fastest try in the competition’s history.
The Huddersfield Giants let the ball bounce after a kick-off from Jordan Abdull and Crooks was quickest to it, going over to score in a crazy opening.
The Rovers made sure to snatch the victory in dramatic circumstances too, with Abdull kicking a 78th-minute field goal to secure a 25-24 win.

The seven-second try topped the previous Super League record of 14 seconds held by St Helen’s Tim Jonkers in a 2002 clash with Wakefield Trinity.
It also beat the fastest try in the NRL, scored by Kirisome Auva’a in just 11 seconds for the Eels against the Broncos.
