Oz Lotto 1417 $35 million draw

Ten lucky people have been lucky enough to scoop the entire $35 million OzLotto division one prize.

The winners from the Northern Territory took out the whole Division 1 Prize pool and were part of a syndicate from the suburb of Humpty Doo.

An official from The Lott called some of the registered syndicate members, who were completely unaware they had become overnight multi-millionaires.

“Oh my god! Oh my god!” one of the syndicate members exclaimed when her win was revealed.

“Holy sh**. Thank you so much. I am in complete shock. My goodness, I never thought I would receive this call. It couldn’t have come at a better time. Maybe I can buy myself a new house.”

One syndicate member shared she almost didn’t buy her winning ticket.

“I can’t stop shaking! Are you kidding me?” she cried. “I wasn’t even going to buy a ticket.

“I am going to upgrade my car and I want to travel around the whole world. I can’t believe I am a multi-millionaire. I don’t think I will ever stop crying. I need to compose myself.”

Another syndicate member started the day in the best possible way.

“I only just woke up! Are you kidding me?” he laughed.

“Holy moly. God, I love ya. I need a cup of tea to calm down.”

In addition to pocketing the $35 million division one prize, the syndicate also scored division three 21 times, division five 63 times, and division six 35 times, bolstering the total win to $35,093,777.25.

Shares in the winning syndicate were purchased from Humpty Doo Newsagency, Shop 18, Humpty Doo Shopping Centre, Freds Pass Road, Humpty Doo.

Humpty Doo Newsagency’s manager Helen said the winning Oz Lotto syndicate had been running for a few months.

“The syndicate is called Golden Oz. It’s been going for a few months and lots of our players are regulars,” she said. “This is definitely the biggest prize this syndicate has won. It’s awesome. We’re so happy for them and wish them all the best I’m sure they’ll enjoy it.”

The winning numbers for Draw No 1417 were: 7, 45, 34, 23, 33, 30, 36 and the Supps are 16 and 40.

A whopping $35 million was up for grabs in the Oz Lotto draw as the jackpot had failed to go off in weeks.

Oz Lotto could crown its third millionaire this year if someone takes out the division one prize.

Lauren Cooney, The Lott spokeswoman, said she was excited to see if they’d be crowning Oz Lotto’s next winner

“So far in 2021 we’ve had one Oz Lotto division one winner from Western Australia and the second from Victoria. Will good fortune continue to shine on players from these states or will we see an Oz Lotto win land elsewhere in Australia?” she said.

“My tip for anyone buying an entry is to register your tickets to a player card or online account, that way we can reach out to you straight after the numbers are drawn to confirm that life-changing news.”

In February, an entry from Western Australia took home a $30 million Oz Lotto prize. It was Western Australia’s biggest win since March 2016.

The winners were a couple from Perth’s northern suburbs, who purchased their ticket from Major Luck Lottery Centre in Clarkson

The cool, calm and collected couple said they were still completely stunned by the news.

“We’ve had a sleepless night and are still getting our heads around it all,” they said the morning after the multimillion-dollar win.

In 2020, there were 24 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across Australia, collectively winning more than $234 million.

Of the 24 Oz Lotto division one winning entries in 2020, eight landed in New South Wales, seven in Victoria, five in Western Australia, three in Queensland and one in South Australia.
