If you’ve ever damaged your hair, you’ll know how long it can take to get it back to its former glory.

Haircare products can be expensive and visiting a salon for a regular treatments even more costly.

But a popular Aldi hair repair kit for suffering tresses which costs $20 is about to return to shelves as part of the store’s Special Buys – and it has been hailed as “dupe” of a bougie haircare brand Olaplex.

While the high-end brand’s three-step system is a widely renowned product containing a “bonding” molecule which repairs damaged hair and is backed by science – it comes with a $149 price tag.

However Aldi’s Kairplex 3-in-1 hair kit, described as having “salon technology that seals the hair bond to help restore damaged hair,” retails for $19.99.

When the limited-edition beauty product when on sale in 2020, it was labelled “just as good” as Olaplex by one reviewer.

It’s not the only budget beauty product being sold in the supermarket’s Wednesday, April 21, deals.

The “Haircarebear gummies” are also returning after causing a frenzy last year for its likeness to the hair vitamins celebrities Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian have endorsed, retailing at $14.99.

A budget IPL hair remover is also on offer for $69.99 – which cost upwards of $200 with other gadget brands.

Aldi’s most popular skincare “dupe” is its Caviar Illumination Day and Night creams that shoppers have described as having a likeness to luxury brand La Prairie.

The Swiss brand’s Skin Caviar Luxe Cream retails for a cool $575, meaning bargain beauty lovers save a mega $555 buying Aldi’s award-winning Lacura dupe for $19.99.
