German model and TV host Heidi Klum looks virtually unrecognisable in this newly unearthed photo from her early modelling days, almost 30 years ago.
The Project Runway and Making the Cut host, 47, shared an oh-so-’90s black and white modelling photo from way back at the start of her career, when she was an up-and-coming model of just 19.
Her trademark blonde locks are nowhere to be seen: Pre-fame Klum is a brunette, with thick, dark Brooke Shields-esque eyebrows to match.

Klum shared the 1992 throwback pic on her Instagram yesterday, along with the caption, “It’s been a while …”
The pic was taken the same year Klum scored her big break as a model, winning a German contest called Model 92 and being awarded a $US300,000 ($A389,000) contract by a top New York modelling agency. Her star rose throughout the ’90s, and by the early noughties she was modelling royalty, making cameos in the likes of Zoolander and Sex and the City.
She reached new audiences worldwide hosting the reality TV juggernaut Project Runway from 2004 to 2017 and last year, she and co-star Tim Gunn launched a rival big-budget fashion TV contest, Making The Cut.
