Dramatic vision shows the moment two Gold Coast men almost set themselves alight as they firebomb a brothel.
The footage has been released as police renew their appeal for information about the incident, which occurred in November last year in Bundall.
On November 10, 2020 emergency services were called to Silks on Upton on Upton Street at 4.30am following reports of smoke coming from the building.
By the time police arrived, the building was engulfed in flames and eventually a crime scene was established.
The newly released CCTV footage shows two unknown offenders arrive in a silver Honda sedan.
They can be seen throwing flammable liquid into the foyer of the bordello before setting it alight and fleeing.
It appears to show one of the men’s feet catch fire shortly before he escaped.
The car involved has yet to be found.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have information about the offence or dashcam vision and was driving along Upton Street, Racecourse Drive or Crombie Avenue between 4am and 4.45am on November 10 to contact Crime Stoppers.
