A COVID-19 outbreak at the Florida resort owned by Donald Trump has partially closed the club.
The Mar-a-lago Resort at Palm Beach was reportedly partially closed on Friday (local time) following the outbreak.
The Associated Press and CNN have both reported the closure based on members at the club being informed about it and the word of a receptionist at the private club who confirmed parts of the resort were closed.

According to an email sent to members and seen by CNN, an outbreak in staff at the exclusive club had led to the closure of the dining room and the suspension of beach club services.
The email said the action was being taken out of “an abundance of caution”.
“We have already undertaken all appropriate response measures in accordance with CDC guidance, including activating a thorough sanitisation and cleaning of any affected areas and all club facilities, and we will continue our heightened environmental cleaning regimen,” the email reportedly continued.

Donald Trump bought the Mar-a-lago estate in 1985 for around $US10 million ($A12.9 million).
In September 2019, it became the official residence of then President Trump and wife Melania.
It was also used during his Presidency to host foreign leaders including Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Brazillian President Jair Bolsonaro.
Mr Trump and his wife may not be at risk due to the current outbreak, having already contracted and beaten COVID-19 last October, though some people have reportedly been infected a second time after previously beating the virus.
Mr Trump and his wife were just two of the more than 23 million Americans who contracted COVID-19 during the final year of Mr Trump’s Presidency, including 400,000 who died.
The first COVID case was recorded in the US exactly 365 days before the inauguration of Joe Biden.
