Avril Lavigne has been seen in public with her new boyfriend, Mod Sun.
The musician couple, who confirmed they were an item on Valentine’s Day, were seen carrying an unusual amount of colourful bags between them as they headed to dinner in California.
Lavigne, 36, and Mod, 34, have been dating since the release of Mod’s song Flames in January, which featured Lavigne.
The Complicated singer is currently working on her seventh studio album, due for release this year.
She released long-awaited new music in 2019 after five years off the radar. In a tearful interview with Good Morning America in 2015, Lavigne detailed her struggle with Lyme disease which impacted her career.
“Why don’t you try to get out of bed Avril, and just play the piano? Are you depressed?”, a tearful Lavigne said at the time. “I was in Los Angeles, literally, like the worst time in my life and I was seeing, like, every specialist and literally, the top doctors, and they were so stupid, and they would pull up their computer and be like, ‘chronic fatigue syndrome’.”
