Shocking footage has shown two attackers allegedly beating up a helpless Victorian teenager in a skate park, landing almost 60 kicks and punches on the boy in just 40 seconds.
The 18-year-old skateboarder Ryan Caygill was sitting alone in the park but was forced to protect his head as he was repeatedly attacked by two people, reported the Saturday Herald Sun, while a third person filmed the incident.
The alleged attack took place at Bairnsdale skatepark in Victoria just after noon on February 26.
Mr Caygill said he thought he was going to die in the alleged bashing and did not know his attackers.
“They just started asking if I wanted to fight and then began attacking me. I was just confused and didn’t really know what to do,” he told the Saturday Herald Sun.

He said he was pleading with his alleged attackers to stop but couldn’t escape.
“If they’d kicked me in the wrong spot in the head I probably wouldn’t even be here today,” the teenager told 7NEWS.
The teen’s mum Renae Matheson said her son was “extremely lucky” to just walk away with a bloody nose and bruised head.
She was so distressed by the video she could barely watch it, with the footage leaving her angry and in tears, adding she didn’t want her kids to have to walk around in fear.
“You watch it and you realise just how lucky you are, that you’re not sitting in a hospital room with your child in a state where he may never wake up,” she said. “They’re just gutless.”
Police have since arrested and charged three people aged 14, 15 and 17 with robbery, affray, intentionally causing injury and assault.
A charge of possessing an imitation firearm was also laid against the 14-year-old, with all three due to appear in children’s court at a later date.
