NRL 2021 Round 4 Teams: KFC SuperCoach trade talk

[ad_1]

It’s Team List Tuesday (again) and for many of us that means we are hammering the trade/reverse button in a bid to dump our bums and find some guns.

The Roosters have been decimated by injury, with Luke Keary’s devasting ACL injury opening the door for teen prodigy Sam Walker to make his long-awaited NRL debut.

In some good news, a wave of NRL guns are set to make their return from injury and suspension, headlined by Nathan Cleary, Ryan Matterson, Payne Haas and Ryan Papenhuyzen.

SEA EAGLES V PANTHERS

Thurs 1 Apr, Lottoland, Brookvale, 8:05pm

SEA EAGLES

1 Dylan Walker, 2 Jason Saab, 3 Brad Parker, 4 Moses Suli, 5 Reuben Garrick, 6 Kieran Foran, 7 Daly Cherry-Evans, 8 Taniela Paseka, 9 Lachlan Croker, 10 Martin Taupau, 11 Jack Gosiewski, 12 Josh Schuster, 13 Jake Trbojevic

Bench: 14. Cade Cust, 15. Morgan Boyle, 16. Sean Keppie, 17. Josh Aloiai

Reserves: 18. Tevita Funa 19. Morgan Harper 20. Toafofoa Sipley 21. Christian Tuipulotu

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

A surprising lack of changes for the last-placed side. Just the one alteration with Morgan Boyle joining the bench in place of Toafofoa Sipley. It’s all about Josh Schuster in KFC SuperCoach land, with the young gun the most purchased player of the round after a stunning two weeks. Tom Trbojevic (hamstring) is at least another week away.

PANTHERS

1 Stephen Crichton, 2 Charlie Staines, 3 Paul Momirovski, 4 Matt Burton, 5 Brian To’o, 6 Jarome Luai, 7 Nathan Cleary, 8 Moses Leota, 9 Mitch Kenny, 10 James Fisher-Harris, 11 Viliame Kikau, 12 Kurt Capewell, 13 Isaah Yeo

Bench: 14. Tyrone May 15. Spencer Leniu, 16. Matt Eisenhuth, 17 Liam Martin

Reserves: 18. Scott Sorensen 19. Billy Burns 20. J’maine Hopgood 21. Jaeman Salmon

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

As predicted in Early Mail, Penrith have switched star centre Stephen Crichton to fullback to cover for injured custodian Dylan Edwards, while Matt Burton has retained a place in the starting side. With Edwards to miss the next few weeks with a broken hand, Crichton slots in at the back. Burton, who impressed at five-eighth in the win over Melbourne last week, replaces Crichton at left centre. Nathan Cleary returns at halfback after missing last week due to concussion.

BULLDOGS V RABBITOHS

Fri 2 Apr, Stadium Australia, Sydney, 4:05pm

BULLDOGS

1 Nick Meaney, 2 Corey Allan 3 Will Hopoate, 4 Nick Cotric, 5 Tuipulotu Katoa, 6 Lachlan Lewis 7 Kyle Flanagan, 8 Dylan Napa, 9 Sione Katoa, 10 Jack Hetherington, 11 Adam Elliott, 12 Corey Waddell, 13 Renouf Atoni

Bench: 14. Jackson Topine 15. Dean Britt 16. Joe Stimson 17. Ofahiki Ogden

Reserves: 19. Jake Averillo 20. Chris Smith 21. Brandon Wakeham 22. Matt Doorey

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Big changes for the underperforming side. Important KFC SuperCoach news with Jake Averillo punted from the five-eighth spot and Lachlan Lewis coming in. Jeremy Marshall-King (foot) is out for 6-8 weeks and replaced at hooker by Sione Katoa. Nick Meaney moves to fullback in a straight swap with Corey Allan, who switches to the wing. Josh Jackson (suspension) relinquishes the lock position to Renouf Atoni. Jackson Topine and Dean Britt join the bench.

RABBITOHS

1 Latrell Mitchell, 2 Alex Johnston, 3 Dane Gagai, 4 Campbell Graham, 5 Josh Mansour, 6 Cody Walker, 7 Adam Reynolds, 8 Tom Burgess, 9 Damien Cook, 10 Tevita Tatola, 11 Keaon Koloamatangi, 12 Jaydn Su’a, 13 Cameron Murray

Bench: 14. Benji Marshall 15. Mark Nicholls 16. Patrick Mago 17. Jai Arrow

Reserves: 18. Jacob Host 19. Dean Hawkins 20. Troy Dargan 21. Steven Marsters

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Come off a good win over rivals the Roosters with no injuries, just some bumps and bruises. Wayne Bennett has named the same 17. Liam Knight (concussion) has been ruled out indefinitely.

STORM V BRONCOS

Fri 2 Apr, AAMI Park, Melbourne, 8:05pm

STORM

1 Ryan Papenhuyzen, 2 George Jennings, 3 Reimis Smith, 4 Justin Olam, 5 Josh Addo-Carr, 6 Cameron Munster, 7 Jahrome Hughes, 8 Jesse Bromwich, 9 Brandon Smith, 10 Christian Welch, 11 Tom Eisenhuth, 12 Ken Bromwich, 13 Nelson Asofa-Solomona

Bench: 14. Tyson Smoothy 15. Tui Kamikamica 16. Chris Lewis 17. Darryn Schonig

Reserves: 18 Aaron Pene 19. Nicho Hynes 20. Trent Loiero 21. Dean Ieremia

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Welcome back star fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen (neck) with Nicho Hynes back to the extended bench. Tom Eisenhuth (ribs) has been named despite a painful injury last week. Chris Lewis is on standby to come into the starting side. Big news for KFC SuperCoach with Reimis Smith retained after Brenko Lee (hamstring) had his return delayed due to Brisbane’s COVID Lockdown. Smith (ankle) and Jahrome Hughes (leg) both picked up minor injuries but should be fit to play. Dale Finucane (calf) and Harry Grant (knee) are still a week or two away.

BRONCOS

1 Jamayne Isaako, 2 Xavier Coates 3 Herbie Farnworth, 4 Tesi Niu, 5 David Mead, 6 Anthony Milford, 7 Brodie Croft, 8 Matt Lodge, 9 Jake Turpin 10 Payne Haas 11 Alex Glenn 12. Jordan Riki 13 Pat Carrigan

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

TITANS V RAIDERS

Sat 3 Apr, Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast, 7:35pm

TITANS

1 AJ Brimson, 2 Anthony Don, 3 Phillip Sami, 4 Patrick Herbert, 5 Corey Thompson, 6 Tanah Boyd, 7 Jamal Fogarty, 8 Jarrod Wallace, 9 Mitch Rein, 10 Tino Fa’asuamaleui, 11 Kevin Proctor, 12 David Fifita, 13 Tyrone Peachey

Bench: 14. Moeaki Fotuaika 15. Sam Lisone, 16. Jaimin Jolliffe 17. Erin Clark

Reserves: 18. Beau Fermor, 19. Herman Ese’ese, 20. Sam McIntyre, 21. Brian Kelly

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Tino Fa’asuamaleui started at prop last week with Tyrone Peachey moved to lock and Moeiki Fotuaika the bench and the Titans have repeated that move this week. Brain Kelly is on the extended bench and could be a late inclusion.

RAIDERS

1 Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, 2 Bailey Simonsson, 3 Jarrod Croker, 4 Sebastian Kris, 5 Jordan Rapana, 6 Jack Wighton, 7 George Williams, 8 Josh Papalii, 9 Josh Hodgson, 10 Dunamis Lui, 11 Hudson Young, 12 Elliott Whitehead, 13 Ryan Sutton

Bench: 14. Tom Starling 15. Saliva Havili, 16. Sia Soliola, 17. Ryan James

Reserves: 18. Sam Williams 19. Semi Valemei 20. Caleb Aekins 21. Emre Guler

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

The Raiders were hammered by injuries last week and it’s a different team this week.

Hudson Young (knee) was a late out last week but has been named this week. Joseph Tapine (ankle) is out which sees Ryan Sutton start at lock. Dunamis Lui is recalled and will start at prop. Curtis Scott (ribs) is out with Sebastian Kris (who failed his HIA last week) in at centre. In a big win for SuperCoaches Ryan James (HIA) has recovered and been named on the bench.

KNIGHTS V DRAGONS

Sun 4 Apr, McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle, 4:05pm

KNIGHTS

1 Tex Hoy, 2 Starford To’a, 3 Enari Tuala, 4 Gehamat Shibasaki, 5 Hymel Hunt, 6 Kurt Mann 7 Mitchell Pearce, 8 David Klemmer, 9 Jayden Brailey, 10 Daniel Saifiti, 11 Tyson Frizell, 12 Mitch Barnett, 13 Connor Watson

Bench: 14. Sauaso Sue 15. Jacob Saifiti 16. Josh King 17. Blake Green

Reserves: 18. Brodie Jones, 19. Dominic Young, 20. Simi Sasagi, 21. Pasami Saulo

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Bradman Best (elbow) is out for an extended period which sees Gehamat Shibasaki start at centre this week after Dom Young was called up to cover Best last week. Star To’a was a late withdrawal last week but he has been named this week. Mitch Barnett (calf) has been named and will be given to Saturday to prove his fitness. If you have him in your team then name him on the bench as it’s easier to move a ‘reserve’ than a starter. Blake Green is a big inclusion, the five-eighth named to start from the interchange bench. Green’s inclusion might be good news for Connor Watson who I expect to start with Sue held back as an interchange middle.

DRAGONS

1 Matt Dufty, 2 Cody Ramsey, 3 Brayden Wiliame, 4 Zac Lomax, 5 Mikaele Ravalawa, 6 Corey Norman, 7 Adam Clune, 8 Blake Lawrie, 9 Andrew McCullough, 10 Paul Vaughan, 11 Josh Kerr, 12 Tariq Sims, 13 Tyrell Fuimaono

Bench: 14. Poasa Faamausili 15. Trent Merrin 16. Daniel Alvaro 17. Jackson Ford

Reserves: 18. Kaide Ellis 19. Jordan Pereira 20. Max Feagai 21. Eddie Blacker

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Ben Hunt (leg) is set to miss 4-6 weeks with his spot at halfback filled by Adam Clune. Jack Bird (suspended) is out, replaced by Braden Wiliame. Max Feagai and Eddie Blacker come in to the reserves.

ROOSTERS V WARRIORS

Sun 4 Apr, Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, 6:15pm

ROOSTERS

1 James Tedesco, 2 Daniel Tupou, 3 Josh Morris, 4 Joey Manu, 5 Brett Morris, 6 Drew Hutchison, 7 Sam Walker, 8 Isaac Liu, 9 Freddy Lussick, 10 Siosiua Taukeiaho, 11 Angus Crichton, 12 Sitili Tupouniua, 13 Victor Radley

Bench: 14. Matt Ikuvalu, 15. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, 16. Nat Butcher 17. Fletcher Baker

Reserves: 18. Egan Butcher 19. Benjamin Marschke 20. Joseph Suaalii 21. Tukupa-Ke Hau Tapuha

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Carnage galore at the Roosters with both of last week’s starting halves out through knee injuries. Keary’s absence opens the door for Sam Walker to make his debut while Lam’s absence sees Drew Hutchison come in at five-eighth. Victor Radley was a late withdrawal from the bench last week but is named to start at lock. Lindsay Collins (HIA/ankle) is another who is missing from the side that played last week with his spot as starting prop taken by Issac Liu. Daniel Suluka-Fifita (suspended) is replaced on the bench by Matt Ikuvalu. Nat Butcher was a late withdrawal last week but is named on the interchange to face the Warriors.

WARRIORS

1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, 2. David Fusitu’a, 3. Adam Pompey, 4. Marcelo Montoya, 5. Ken Maumalo, 6. Kodi Nikorima, 7. Sean O’Sullivan, 8. Addin Fonua-Blake, 9. Wade Egan, 10. Bunty Afoa, 11. Eliesa Katoa, 12. Bailey Sironen, 13. Tohu Harris

Bench: 14. Jazz Tevaga, 15. Ben Murdoch-Masila, 16. Leeson Ah Mau, 17. Jack Murchie

Reserves: 18. Tom Ale 19. Paul Turner 20. Kane Evans 21. Rocco Berry

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Peta Hiku (knee) is out, replaced at centre by Marcelo Montoya. Montoya’s elevation from the reserves opens the door for Rocco Berry to come onto the extended bench.

TIGERS V EELS

Mon 5 Apr, Stadium Australia, Sydney, 4pm

TIGERS

1 Daine Laurie, 2 David Nofoaluma, 3 Tommy Talau, 4. James Roberts, 5 Asu Kepaoa, 6 Adam Doueihi, 7 Luke Brooks, 8 Zane Musgrove, 9 Jacob Liddle, 10 James Tamou, 11 Luke Garner, 12 Luciano Leilua, 13 Alex Twal

Bench: 14. Moses Mbye, 15. Thomas Mikaele 16. Stefano Utoikamanu 17. Joe Ofahengaue

Reserves: 18. Russell Packer, 19. Joseph Leilua, 20. Michael Chee Kam, 21. Alex Seyfarth

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

No changes for a winning 17 at the Tigers.

EELS

1 Clint Gutherson, 2 Maika Sivo, 3 Tom Opacic, 4 Marata Niukore, 5 Blake Ferguson, 6 Dylan Brown, 7 Mitchell Moses, 8 Reagan Campbell-Gillard, 9 Reed Mahoney, 10 Junior Paulo, 11 Shaun Lane, 12 Ryan Matterson, 13 Nathan Brown

Bench: 14. Oregon Kaufusi 15. Isaiah Papali’i 16. Will Smith 17. Ray Stone

Reserves: 18. Jordan Rankin, 19. Haze Dunster, 20. Keegan Hipgrave’, 21. Bryce Cartwright

SUPERCOACH COMMENT:

Ryan Matterson is back and named to start which pushed Isaih Papali’i to the interchange. Halfback Mitchell Moses has recovered (HIA) after playing just 26 minutes last week and been named to start. Keegan Hipgrave slides to the reserves where he is joined by Bryce Cartwright who has recovered from a broken jaw.
