A TikTok star and self-described “dating expert” has copped major backlash after he said single mums are only good for “recreational use”.
Myron Gaines, of the US, who hosts a podcast called Fresh & Fit, recently shared a now viral video explaining the three reasons why men shouldn’t date single mums.
He told his 45,000 TikTok followers that “simply put” single mums are never going to put you first.
“The kids are going to come first, which is fine and the way it should be. But you have to understand you’re always going to take a back seat,” he explained in his first point.

He then reminded men that they have “zero rights” to their partner’s children if they were to split up.
“(They’re) not your kids so you can’t discipline them and on top of that, she can take them away from you at any time if you guys break up.”
But in his final point and perhaps his most controversial, Myron who goes by the TikTok handle realtalkmiami, copped major for sensationally claiming that single mums are only good to date “recreationally” for one night stands.
“Finally, you have to pay for another man’s responsibility,” he explained.
“Guys, single mums (are for) recreational use only. Protect yourself and your wallet! Peace.”

It didn’t take long for his clip to go viral with both women and men slamming his “dating advice”.
“Recreational use only? This is trash. If you talk like this on a public platform, it terrifies me to think of what you do in private,” one woman commented.
“’Recreational use only’ like we are some product to be used?” another stunned wrote, while a third added, “I actually gasped. He is repulsive.”
“AS A SINGLE MUM I’LL TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SAY … THAT’S COOL BRO WE DON’T PLAY WITH BOYS,” an outraged mum also wrote.
One man said that his comments “scream LD energy”.
“Really sad,” he added.
Another man said that while he agrees, if someone has a strong relationship with his partner, it will work.
“I love my stepson (and) he loves me like a dad,” he wrote.
“My fiance disciplines my daughter. She’s not his but she’s treated like she is. I expect him to discipline her. He’s a REAL man though!” another outraged woman added.
Some demanded Myron delete his account, while others continued to slam his “dating tips”.
Myron is yet to respond to the backlash.
