Prince Harry is reportedly in isolation in his California home so he is able to rush back to the UK in case Prince Philip’s condition worsens.
Philip, 99, was rushed to King Edward VII hospital in London on Tuesday after he complained of “feeling unwell”, a Buckingham Palace statement said.
British media reports the Duke of Sussex and his family, wife Meghan Markle and one-year-old son Archie, are self-isolating in their Montecito mansion to avoid potentially contracting COVID-19 in the event Harry needs to rush to London to see his grandfather.
The Mirror reports Harry has made arrangements to fly via private jet and is being kept “regularly informed” of the Duke of Edinburgh’s condition.

According to the publication, members of the British royal family have special immunity when it comes to travel, so Harry would not have to quarantine if he tested negative to coronavirus.
Currently, anyone else travelling into the UK needs to get a test and self-quarantine for 7 days even if the test returns a negative result.
Philip’s hospitalisation comes after Harry and Meghan’s good news that they’re expecting their second child, which they announced on Valentine’s Day.
It is understood Meghan is about five months pregnant.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also agreed to a 90-minute tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, set to air on March 7.
It is the first time the duo have conducted an interview since their exit from the royal family in March last year.
“Winfrey will speak with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work, to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” CBS revealed earlier this week.
“Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”
