Thobe or Jubba is a common modest garment loved by Muslim men around the world. It is a statement of Culture, Elegance and Comfort, which hold great value in even the modern world. You will find thobes in a various fabric option, colours, styles and at different price point too, but the secret to looking crisp in a thobe is not about how expensive fabric you buy, it’s about how you look take care of them.

Getting the stains on the thobe is common or the fabric losing its sheen is also quite common. But the good news is that you don’t need a long list of things to do to keep your thobes in good condition.

Here are 7 simple and easy to follow practical habits to keep them looking fresh and brand new for years to come.

1. Read The Tag

It is always advisable to read the tag, which gives you all the information you need to take care of the product.

This is the most important yet the most ignored thing one does when they buy a thobe. The tag tells you everything that you need to know and it’s important to read the tag because different materials like cotton, polyster, linen react differently to heat and chemicals and need different care. The tag even talks about different wash methods that the thobe for men is suitable for.

Take a quick look at the label before you throw it away, it will tell you the major point as to how you should treat your thobe.

2. Flip Them Inside Out

Even when you are trying to clean the white thobe, using a natural alternative like baking soda. For coloured thobes, only use a liquid detergent. Harsh chemical based detergents can strip the fabric easily, make it a little rough and will ruin its sheen.
